Day 1: HANOI ARRIVAL
Upon arrival at Hanoi, we will pick you up at Noi Bai International Airport for transfer to the hotel. Spend the remainder of the day exploring the surrounding bustling streets and the capital city of Vietnam.
Day 2: STORY OF HANOI (B,L)
Begin your story of Hanoi by exploring some of the top touristy spots and the labyrinthine-like streets of the ‘Old Quarter’, of Hanoi city.
Begin at Ho Chi Minh’s Complex, where you will view the Presidential Palace, the One Pillar Pagoda and Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum — the final resting place of Vietnam’s fovisunding president.
Then go back in time to the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, a 11th century archaeological site, and the famous Temple of Literature. End the afternoon by taking a good view of Long Bien Bridge, which was partially bombed during the Vietnam War.
Then take a breezy cyclo ride through the Old Quarter’s 36 streets, finally end the tour with local coffee, in a popular cafe
Day 3: HANOI – HALONG BAY (B,L,D)
At 8am, we will fetch you from your hotel, to head to Halong Bay. We will arrive slightly before noon, at Halong Bay city. Then you will be transferred to the cruise ship. Once on board the ship, you will be provided a welcome drink, followed by cruise briefing and safety instructions, conducted by the cruise manager. After that, you will check in your cabin.
Lunch will be served on board while cruising and passing by Dog islet, Fighting Cock islet (symbol of Halong Bay), Hoa Cuong fishing village, and Swan islet. After lunch, the ship will continue exploring the wonders of Halong bay, passing by countless islands including Soi Sim beach, and Coconut Tree Island.
We will anchor the vessel at Frog Pond area, where you can take time to explore this beautiful scenery by kayaking through the majestic scenery, and swimming in emerald coloured water.
Relax on the sundeck with cocktails, complimented by a variety of tropical fruits and best local wines. Then attend a cooking demonstration with our chef to learn one of the most popular cuisines in Vietnam: spring rolls. If you don’t want to cook, you can relax yourself in the Jacuzzi.
For dinner, we specially prepare a 11-course tasting meal to reward your taste buds and stomach. After that, you can engage in various evening activities, such as relaxing, squid fishing, spa services or dipping into the Jacuzzi.
Day 4: HALONG BAY – HANOI (B,L)
Wake up at about 6.30am to a refreshing morning with an organized Tai Chi class. Then have breakfast with our assorted homemade pastries, along with coffee, tea or fresh fruit juices.
We will move on next to Sung Sot Cave, where you need to climb up and down 600 steps to the magnificent limestone formations of the most beautiful and biggest cave in Halong bay. After the visit to the cave, you will check out of the cabin and settle any bill that you might have incurred with additional expenses like drinks or snacks at the bar.
Brunch will be served as the ship cruises back to Halong Bay harbour. Our bus will pick you up to return back to Hanoi. ETA to be about 5pm, if the traffic is good.
After dinner, we will prepare and transfer you to the domestic airport for the flight to Hue in central Vietnam. Upon arrival in Hue, we will transfer you to the hotel for check-in. Overnight in Hue city.
Day 5: HUE CITY TOUR (B,L)
From 1802, Hue was the political, cultural and religious centre of a unified Vietnam, until the end of the Nguyen dynasty in 1945, when the capital was moved to Hanoi.
After breakfast, begin a city tour of UNESCO designated monuments, including Imperial Citadel and Imperial Tombs of the former emperors.
After lunch, take a cruise along the Perfume River, as it wends its way through the city centre to Thien Mu Pagoda. The tour ends with a local dinner at the restaurant. Overnight in Hue.
Day 6: HUE – HOIAN (B,L)
After breakfast, take a drive along the scenic Hai Van Pass, towards the ancient port town of Hoi An. This UNESCO recognized town has been artfully restored to its former glory, and its quaint architecture makes a perfect picture postcard that you can take and send to your friends and family. In the afternoon, take a guided walking tour of the charming town to discover a preserved pagoda, assembly hall and beautiful covered bridge, which are the living linkages to Hoi An’s ancient past.
Day 7: HOI AN – FREE & EASY (B)
Beside the ancient heritage and architecture, Hoi An is renowned for its skillful tailors, who can sew a new custom tailor fitted dress, suit, shoes, or anything else you can dream up. If you do not want to laze your time away on the beach, why not take a cycling tour in the countryside? Or roll up your sleeves and experience for yourself the life as a fisherman or farmer for the day!
Day 8: HOI AN – FREE & EASY (B)
Spend the day lazing on the white-sand beach or getting that last-minute fitting in at a tailor shop – the choice is yours. Getting to know the food is also the great way of learning a country’s culture. And if food is culture, than Hoi An is the capital, as any foodie will tell you. Why not take a hands-on lesson on how to prepare and cook authentic Vietnamese food. By the end of it, you will be able to shine like a Vietnamese chef, whipping up local rice noodle (pho) and spring rolls!
Day 9: HOI AN – HO CHI MINH (B,L)
From Hue domestic airport, you will take a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon reaching the biggest city in Vietnam, we will pick you up for hotel check-in. After that, spend the afternoon on a guided tour, which features the city’s main highlights.
Discover the story of Saigon that you’ve never known before - from a city of conflict before Vietnam War, to the most modern metropolis in Vietnam now. You get to visit key touristy landmarks, such as Central Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the War Remnants Museum, where you learn about the city’s transition from war-torn Saigon, to urban Ho Chi Minh City.
In the evening, arrive in style by private speedboat to the waterside oasis of the Deck Restaurant, nestled on the banks of the Saigon River, which is 7km from the city centre.
Day 10: MEKONG DELTA (B,L)
After breakfast at the hotel, we head further to south for more adventures. Travel about two hours south of Ho Chi Minh City to Ben Tre, the gateway to the Mekong Delta. Hop aboard a small boat and explore the waterways, have a stopover at a local home-based factory where workers process coconuts that will be used in products like matting and candy. Then transfer to a converted rice barge.
Continue your cruise along the Mekong River. Join in for a demonstration of Vietnamese cooking class, and watch the river pass by, while you enjoy a sumptuous three-course lunch of Mekong specialties! You have the remaining day to relax yourself. Or if you have any request, feel free to talk to your tour guide, who will be more than happy to help you.
Day 11: HO CHI MINH – SIEM REAP (B)
It’s time to leave Vietnam, so be sure you do your last-minute shopping before going to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for your next flight to Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Fly to Siem Reap, the gateway to the World Heritage listed Temples of Angkor. The Angkor complex embodies the entire range of Khmer art from the 9th to 14th centuries, and played a formative role in the cultural and political development of the region. After lunch, we will visit the Roluos group of temples for your first peek into Angkorian masterpieces. We will have dinner in a local restaurant before you return to the hotel and rest for the day.
Day 12: SIEM REAP (B)
Be awestruck by Angkor Wat! Marvel at the smiling faces of Bayon and the tree entwined Ta Prohm, that is featured in the Hollywood movie Tomb Raider. You will also see Terrace of the Elephants, and Terrace of Leper King, the pyramid shaped Phimeanakas. For the tour, we got you covered with all the main highlights of the temples so you won’t miss a thing!
Next, take a sunset cruise by gondola on the moat at Angkor Thom as the sun sets over this archaeological masterpiece.
Day 13: SIEM REAP (B)
Spend a leisurely half-day exploring Kampong Phluk, a village built on stilts over the Tonle Sap Lake. As you tour the village by boat, you will discover a thriving ecosystem, which is home to a range of birds and wildlife, and especially crab-eating macaques (monkeys)! Next, gain a first-hand insight into Buddhism, with a visit to one of Siem Reap’s most famous pagodas. Be sure to take time to receive a monk’s blessing for your marriage, if that’s something that may be of help to you. This unique experience includes chanting of prayers, burning of incense, and offering of flowers.
Day 14: SIEM REAP – INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, be sure to do your last-minute shopping at the local markets before we transfer you to the international airport for your flight back home.
