Itinerary

Upon arrival at Siem Reap, our driver picks you up and bring you to the hotel. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.

After breakfast at hotel, begin your sightseeing tour of the Angkor area. Spend a full day exploring the wondrous ancient ruins, with the South Gate of Angkor Thom, which is famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone, the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the largest as well as the most complete temple of Angkor Wat. 

This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century, and covers an area of about 210 hectares.

Stroll around this massive edifice, discover many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds, reflecting the towering temple. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.

Meal: Breakfast

After breakfast at hotel, head out of town on a newly paved road to the intricately carved and well preserved temple of Banteay Srei. Along the way, stop at the Preah Dark village, with a visit to the Banteay Samre Temple, adorned with impressive reliefs depicting scenes of Vishunu, as well as Krishna legends.

In the afternoon, visit the Roluos Group, which served as the capital of Indravarman I (reigned 877-89). Preah KO was erected by Indravarman I in the late 9th century dedicated by the King to his ancestors in 880. Bakong is the most interesting and largest of the Roluos group of temples, with his active Buddhist monastery, just to the north of the east entrance. Lolei was built on an islet in the centre of a large reservoir by Yasovarman I, the founder to the first city at Angkor

After breakfast, take a wooden boat to visit the floating village on Tonle Sap Lake. This is the largest, permanent, freshwater lake in Southeast Asia, and flows into Tonle sap River, joining the Mekong in Phnom Penh. Along the way, observe the local life of fishermen, floating schools, and floating police station, among others, just like a big village floating on the lake, with the village moving from place to place following the water levels. Then continue to visit Chantiers Ecoles - Les Artisans d'Angkor", which provides training to young Cambodians in an effort to revive the ancient Khmer traditions of stone carving and wood sculpting. Transfer to airport for your flight to Vietnam.

Start the day by visiting Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office, followed by exploring the Reunification Palace, and the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum.

After lunch, visit the Cu Chi Tunnels. Located 60km from Ho Chi Minh City, Cu Chi is now considered a heroic district for its resistance role during the American war in Vietnam. It is notable for its network of tunnels, which extends over 220km, and is a popular destination for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors.

After that, we return to Ho Chi Minh City.

At 8.00am, we leave Ho Chi Minh city, and enjoy the scenic journey along the National Highway bordered by green rice fields.

Arrive at My Tho, visit Vinh Trang pagoda, take a leisure boat ride along the river, view stilt houses, fruit plantations, and fishing villages along the river bank. Proceed to Tortoise islet, have lunch in the orchard garden. After that, take a boat ride to An Khanh – a less touristy attraction in Ben Tre. Enjoy cruising on a hand-rowed sampan boats, under the shade of water coconut trees along natural canals, then indulge seasonal fruit and honey tea to the sound of "Southern Vietnamese folk music", performed by the locals. Visit a traditional family business, which epitomizes the idyllic rural lifestyle. Taste delicious coconut candy, and observe the pastoral life as you explore the fruit plantations and villages. Proceed to Can Tho, and stay overnight in this fourth-largest city in Vietnam.

Take a boat trip to visit the Cai Rang floating market, which is the wholesale market of fruits and vegetables, at its busiest period at this time of the day. Keep cruising through the small channels, visit a rice noodle making village. Experience the “Monkey Bridge”, made of only bamboo in the Mekong Delta.

After lunch, proceed to Chau Doc, and continue the tour to visit Tra Su. This nature reserve covers a massive area, which is home to the rich and diverse species of water birds, fishes, reptiles, bats, and other endangered species. The lush vegetation, abundant florals and fauna create an amazing natural haven for wildlife.

Take a motorized boat, followed by a rowing boat deep into the forest, through the lovely channel of waterways. Take a short walk to the observation tower to enjoy the panoramic view of the area. Return back to the town. While on the way back, stop by to visit Sam Mountain, the Cave pagoda (if time permits). Overnight in Chau Doc.

After breakfast, take a relaxing boat trip through the floating village, to visit a fish farm to understand how the Mekong Delta people raise fishes in their floating houses. Visit the Cham minority, in their traditional weaving village, followed by a local Islamic Mosque. Return back to Ho Chi Minh City
