After breakfast, our tour guide will meet you at the hotel, bring you to visit Ho Chi Minh Complex, which consists of Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh’s Stilt House, Ho Chi Minh Museum, Presidential Palace and the One Pillar Pagoda.
You will visit the One Pillar Pagoda, a group of structures that collectively make up together like a pagoda. Located at the West Lake, you will also have the chance to explore the oldest pagoda in Vietnam - Tran Quoc Pagoda, built in the 6th century. Moving on, you will visit Temple of literature, which is Vietnam’s first university, and is respectfully dedicated to Confucius.
After lunch at a local restaurant, you will visit Hoan Kiem Lake, popularly known as the Sword Lake. It is one of the major scenic spots in Hanoi, with numerous tourist activities around the lake. The roads around the lake are traffic-free during weekends and officially designated as walking streets for locals and tourists to boost tourism.
Finally, you will stop at the Museum of Ethnology. This interesting museum showcases the depth of the Vietnamese cultural diversity, with an astounding collection of 15,000 artefacts gathered throughout Vietnam. Maps, displays, and dioramas are labelled in Vietnamese, French and English. The displays portray a typical village market, the making of conical hats, and a Tay shamanic ceremony. You can also explore a traditional Black Thai house, reconstructed in the museum. There is also a centre for research and conservation, where scientists from all over the world study traditional Vietnamese cultures. After that, you will return to hotel to take a rest or shower.
